As many of you all know the Jam-A-Que is a very special event which has taken on a life of it's own. We put this on every year out of my own pocket. We charge nothing for attendance or food. You get a whole weekend of great Southern Rock Music and food absolutely free. My Celebrity friends come out and jam on thier own dime and hang out. We look at it kind of like a Southern Rock Fan Fare in the form of a good ole Southern BBQ and Jam Session.
However, the event has grown to a point that it is VERY, VERY costly and difficult for me to do myself. So, as we move into the next year I am calling for ya'll to help keep it alive and growing. We are looking for people to:
- volunteer as staff and crew
- donate money to help cover the huge expense of putting this on
- Donate gear and/or materials
- Donate services
The plan for 2010 is to build a permanent stage which will only be used once a year for this event. Acquire a permanent sound system for the event. I would like to thank Scott Braswell who donated a bunch of equipment to help get us started. Acquire sponsors for the event. We will be broadcasting the 2010 event live via internet. I will be updating regularly, and giving credit and advertising to everyone that helps out.
